In 2006, the United States exported $2.7 billion in goods to Panama, an increase of25 percent from 2005. Export shipments of merchandise from New Jersey to Panama totaled $89 million in 2006. Overall export shipments of merchandise from New Jersey in 2006 totaled $27 billion. This is a $10.0 billion increase since 2002, the tenth largest dollar increase among the 50 states.
